I believe the only Communist system that works is one in which individual people volunteer their efforts. All forced socialist governments have failed.

Let me correct myself, the *LATE* USSR was a dictatorship under a communism - the early one was pretty clean, when Lenin and Trotsky were still around. When Stalin was the only one left though...

I totally agree with you raven. Read my journel entry entitled "whos the pigs now?" and I make a reference to communist cuba which was not forced communism as you say. I also made a couple of wallpapers for che guevara.

But ye, I live in the UK and its the same here. People just think communism = USSR = bad. Thats 100% because of the US governtment. People have fallen to bad side of socialism on captialism. Its terrible. We need to wipe the slate clean.

You know, I don't think there is such a thing as a government that will work 100%. I mean sure, in some people's opinions some might work better than others, but still...
Guess we just have to do the best we can.

The sad thing about the state of communism in America is that we, american communists, are split up between no fewer than ten parties. Yes, we must have global communism, and for that to happen, communism will have to adapt to the issues of each nation when it rises.
The great thing about America and communism, is that america is one of the few nations that is capible of becoming communist without the need of the bloodshead of a revolution, it it able to come by the ballot box, however if a communist candidate ever experienced what Gore did during the 2000, there would likely be a revolution!!!
